This week’s speaker was Dee Maginn RN, public health nurse.  Dee spoke to the club about H1N1 and encouraged everyone to be vaccinated against this flu.  She also spoke about the need for frequent handwashing, using Klenex and staying at home if you are sick.

Jill brought 2 Key clubbers to the meeting, Stephanie and Nickie.  Thanks for doing such a great job Jill!

Bingo:  Last week we made $2020 which proves that bingo is still going strong!  This week is Ted and his Angels!

50/50:  Ron Beckey’s number was drawn but he didn’t win the $210 pot.  Sorry!

Notes:  The Christmas parade in Copperhill is Dec. 5th this year and the theme is “Christmas of Yesteryear.”  Since we have already RSVP’d, we really need members to help with this event.  Please try to help if possible and contact Ken asap!

Our annual Christmas party will be Monday Dec. 7 at 630 at the Appalachian Community room.  We will once again do the “Chinese Christmas” exchange.  Please bring a gift (funny or not) with a price range of between $10-$20.  Please try to attend because this is one of our most fun events!

The Empty Stocking fund last week made $2,044!

The River’s alive was well attended and Ken noted that there was several girl scouts helping to clean the river.  Good to see them helping our community!

Thanksgiving baskets will be put together at the Super-Saver on Nov 18th at 3:30pm.  Please try to help!
