This week’s meeting was a board meeting.  Steven presented Eddie with a plaque for being our secretary for the past two years.  Thanks Eddie!

Next week we will have Dee MaGinn, public health nurse, informing the club about H1N1 flu.  This should be an informative program!  Please try to attend.

50/50 – The pot is up to $203.  Ken’s name was drawn, but he didn’t win.  Maybe next time!

Bingo – This week the club made $1028, so bingo is still doing very well!  Thursday is the Maginn team.

Tonight is the benefit bingo for the empty stocking fund.  They could use more help because we are expecting a large crowd.

River’s alive is Saturday and we need help at Horse Shoe bend at 10am to cook hotdogs and hamburgers.  If you have any questions, please call Mike Maginn.

The 5th Monday in November will be held at the Chamber of Commerce conference room.  Wilda and Jodie will handle the details.

Thanks to Ken and Jere for spending a rainy evening handing out candy to children at this year’s Halloween Safe Zone!  027

The Christmas parade is Dec. 5th this year and the theme is “Christmas of Yesteryear.”  We need people on the committee if you can help!

Our annual Christmas party will be Monday Dec. 7 at 630 at the Appalachian Community room.  We will once again do the “Chinese Christmas” exchange.  Please bring a gift (funny or not) with a price range of between $10-$20.  Please try to attend because this is one of our most fun events!

Dues are due!
