Division 11  Vol. 136

This Week:  This week Anthony Jones and Steve Smith from boyscout troop 460 spoke to the club about their upcoming trip to Cimarron, New Mexico to the Philmont Scout Ranch.  They discussed their fundraising efforts as well as their appreciation for our help.  Sounds like the boys (and adults) are in for a challenging, but fun experience!

Next Week: Clarke has next week’s program.  I received the following message from him:    Ruth Jordan, President of the Appalachian Community Bank in B.R. will speak on the Federal Gov’t. induced crisis in the banking industry.  She is well read in this area.  Ruth is a local lady that has done well in the banking industry.  So we need all hands to turn out and give her a good audience.   Sounds like a pretty good program!

Bingo:  Last week made $993.  The Hamm team worked last night and report will be given Monday.

50/50: The pot is up to $358.  Travis’ name was drawn, but he didn’t win.  :(

Birthdays: Steve Eaton and Ken Williams both had birthdays on 3/1!

Kiwanis Anniversaries:  Stan Hamm 3/23/73

Notes:

Sat 4/10 is the governor’s rally.  It will be held at the Fannin Co. park.  We will plant shrubs and flowers and build flower boxes to go in front of the new Rec Center.  We will eat BBQ and enjoy good fellowship!

Jill, Forrest and two key clubbers reported on the key club Convention in Atlanta.  Sounds like they are both doing a great job with the kids.
