The Kiwanis Club of Blue Ridge, GA is a community service club comprised of local business leaders and community residents who share good fellowship, build enduring friendships, and help local organizations and individuals with community service projects and fundraising events.
Through Kiwanis membership, communities are improved, friendships are built, leadership skills are developed, and business contacts are made.
Most importantly, the lives of children around the world are changed for the better.
I’m a member of the Golden K club Athens, GA. Among my keepsakes is a booklet entitled, “Blue Ridge and Lake Blue Ridge
Fannin County, Georgia ‘Home of the World Famous
Staurolite(Fairy Crosses’”
I can’t find any date of publication but it has to be many years ago. There is room for an address on the back cover so it must have been mailed at some time.
The booklet contains a world of information about Blue Ridge, including “History of Fannin County” The booklet was published by Times Press, Blue Ridge. The population of Blue Ridge is listed as 1600. Do you have up to date information and are you interested in this old booklet? I’ll be happy to hear from you..
I am with Circus Extravaganza. We are currently mapping out our tour for the 2010 season. We are planning on bringing this tour through the state of Georgia. We would like to see how we might be able to help you give your patrons a new and exciting experience by having the circus Extravaganza at your fair. Could you tell me to whom I might be able to contact about this?
Thank you very much,
Mario Vitali

Hi Joe-
Facets of Fannin was a book produced by several groups in Fannin County, including the Kiwanis Club. Unfortunately, the book is out of print. I know of one copy in our Public Library – they may also have copies to sell – the telephone number is 706-632-5563.
