STAR Student 2010:

The PAGE STAR program honors Georgia’s outstanding high school seniors and the teachers who have been most intrumental in their academic development.  STAR stands for Student Teacher Achievement Recognitionand every accredited high school in Georgia participates.  This year, we welcomed Mountain Area Christian Academy to Fannin County’s Star Student program.

During our Star Student Banquet, we honored two outstanding, intelligent, and beautiful young women. We are fortunate to have them in our community.

The Star Student from Fannin County High School for 2010 is Zoe Wolford.  Zoe is the daughter of Lucy Spalding of Morganton.  Zoe chose Theresa Dillard as her Star Teacher. 

The Star Student from Mountain Area Christian Academy for 2010 is Abigail Williams.  She is the daughter of Van and Kimberly Williams of Blue Ridge.  Her Star Teacher is Anne Simmons.  

Zoe Wolford is our countywide Star Student and, along with Ms. Dillard, will represent Fannin County on March 25th at the regions event in Jasper.  Good luck to them both!
